Hi,
I’ll be receiving receiving my Masters in Chemical Engineering in two years from a top 20 university in the USA. Though I enjoy the education system in the US, I am looking for some new experiences both in academic tradition and in my environment. I am thinking about doing my PhD in a place like Germany, France, or Japan. Does anyone have experiences with obtaining an MS in the US and doing a PhD somewhere else?

Every school is different, especially when going to other countries. You’ll have to find the universities you want to go to and contact them directly to find out what their rules are.
