If you are talking about the pictures used as your avatar, it is just a display of the files already existed in your computer. So basically, MSN Messenger has nothing to do with the files at all…
If you are talking about the files that other people set to you, the files should be located in My Documents > MSN Messenger. If it’s not there, it’s not there. Unless you have another program that lets you recover old files that you had in your computer, your chance of getting them back is quite slim… Good luck anyway!
